No-show fees are not automatically applied. You would need to adjust the invoice accordingly and then process the payment.

Noterro does not support importing previous payment data from Square. If you're migrating from Square to Noterro, you can export your patient list and appointment history from Square, but payment data will need to be managed separately.
Can I use different Payment systems that are not Square or Shift4?
Yes, you can use any payment system you prefer. When collecting the payment, you must manually input the payment method into the invoice.

Noterro does not store full credit card details itself. Credit cards are securely stored by integrated payment processors like Shift4 and Square, and Noterro maps these saved cards to patient profiles for easy reuse, enabling payment processing without storing card data directly.
What happens when a client's card on file expires?
Nothing happens automatically. The system does not require the client to add a new card when their existing card on file expires.
Do Shift4 and Square use encryption?
Yes, Shift4 and Square use advanced, layered encryption and security technologies to protect data throughout the entire transaction process.
Are Shift4 and Square location-specific?
Yes, both Square and Shift4 are strictly location-specific. Your payment processing account, accepted currencies, and physical hardware deployment must align precisely with the country where your business is legally registered.
Square: Accounts operate within strict geographical silos. For example, a US account can only process USD, a Canadian account can only process CAD, and an Australian account can only process AUD.
Shift4: While the platform handles over 160 currencies globally, your specific merchant account configuration remains hard-coded to the region of your legal business entity.
What is the processing limit for a merchant account when trying to process a payment using Square?
There are no limits on the total amount of processing volume you can run through your Square account. You can process as many transactions as your business needs each day, week, or month.
Can I use my phone as Square terminal?
A phone itself cannot be used directly as a Square Terminal, but you can use the Square iOS or Android app to process payments integrated with Noterro.
Can different locations have different bank accounts?
