Your browser may block the microphone access on some occasions. Enabling it requires a few steps, usually depending on the browser you are using. Make sure to follow the guides below to enable your microphone for the best Scribe experience.
How to Enable Your Microphone
Chrome
- Open Chrome and go to the page you want to use the microphone.
- Click the Lock icon located in the address bar.
- Select Site Settings.
- Under the Permissions section, locate Microphone.
- Select Allow from the dropdown menu.
- Refresh the page to apply changes.
Edge
- Open Edge and navigate to the page where you wish to use the microphone.
- Click the Lock icon in the address bar.
- Click Permissions for this site.
- Find Microphone and set it to Allow.
- Reload the page to ensure the setting is active.
Safari
- Open Safari and visit the page where you need the microphone.
- At the top left, click Safari in the menu, then choose Preferences.
- Go to the Websites tab.
- Select Microphone from the left sidebar menu.
- Find the site in the list and set it to Allow.
- If the site isn’t listed, select Ask to prompt for permission the next time.
Firefox
- Open Firefox and go to the website where the microphone is needed.
- Click the Information icon in the address bar.
- Choose Permissions.
- Ensure the box for Use Default is unchecked under Microphone.
- Check the Allow option to give the website permission.
- Reload the page to apply the new permissions.
Once you have enabled the microphone in your browser, Scribe should be able to access it and perform recordings seamlessly.
