Prevent unauthorized portal accounts or online bookings by changing your portal's Access Type to Require Invitation.
With Require Invitation enabled:
New clients can only create a portal account after the clinic sends them an invitation link.
Existing portal users can still log in to access the portal.
This helps prevent the portal from being open for anyone to create an account/book online.
Invite a Patient to the Portal
If you need to grant portal access to an existing patient, follow these steps:
- Log in to your account as an Admin or Practitioner.
- Navigate to the Patients tab from the main menu.
- Search for and select the patient's name.
- Click on Portal Accounts within their profile.
- Click the Add User button.
- Enter the patient’s email address and confirm.
The patient will receive an automated email containing a link to set up their new account or log in to accept your invitation.
