Manage your clinical notes' Restrictive Access settings to control who can view them. Only notes created after specifying or updating their access will adhere to these settings. Note that an Administrator can always access clinical notes, regardless of privacy settings.
Types of Clinical Note Restrictions
- All Staff: Share the note with all staff in the clinic, including assistants.
- All Practitioners: Share the note with all Practitioners in the clinic.
- Author Only: Only the Practitioner listed on the note can access it.
Admin Settings
- Log in as the Admin.
- Click on the Gear icon in the top right header.
- Select Base Setup.
- Scroll to the Practitioner’s section.
- Click on the Three dots then click Edit.
- Scroll to the Privacy Setting.
Practitioner Settings
Each practitioner can choose their default privacy settings for new notes. These settings can be managed by either the Admin or the Practitioner.
- Log in as a Practitioner.
- Click on either your Photo or Initials in the top right header.
- Click on the Charting tab.
- Select the Privacy Setting under Clinical Note Access.
Clinical Note
Each clinical note has its own privacy setting which can be updated as needed.
- Click on either a Draft or Finalized Note.
- Click on Update in the bottom left sidebar.
