Ensure that no credit card is required for bookings by checking both the general online booking payment policy and any service-level overrides.
Set General Online Booking Policy
Configure your system so bookings don't require a credit card or payment.
- Log in as the Admin.
- Click the Gear/Cog icon in the top right.
- Go to Web Portal & App.
- Find the Online Payment Policies / Online Booking Payment Policy section.
- Set the policy to ensure no credit card/payment is required to book.
- Save your changes.
Check Individual Service Overrides
Verify each service's payment policy to ensure they align with the general settings.
- Go to Base Setup.
- Select Services.
- Open the desired service.
- Check the Payment Policy Override.
- Set it to “No credit card is required to book an appointment.”
- Save.
This process is vital because a service-level Payment Policy Override can require a credit card even if the general booking policy does not.
Note: These changes only apply to new patients and will not affect existing ones.
