The Insurance Settings page in Noterro is designed to help clinics manage their insurers and codes efficiently, whether located in the United States or Canada. This setup facilitates accurate billing and claims processing, leading to streamlined administrative tasks and improved patient care.
Configuring Insurers
To add insurers that your clinic works with, simply click the "Add New" button. This functionality is available for both American and Canadian clinics and ensures that your insurer records remain up-to-date directly within Noterro.
Adding Insurance Codes
American clinics have the option to add various types of billing codes, such as CPT, ICD, and modifier codes. Click the "Add New" button to input these codes. If your clinic requires adding a large number of codes at once, please contact Noterro support for assistance with bulk uploads using a spreadsheet.
Form Field Configuration
Form fields are primarily associated with the insurance policy details in a patient's profile. To streamline this process, use the "Quick Select" button. American clinics should opt for CMS 1500, while Canadian clinics should select TELUS eClaims. While you have the option to uncheck selections, it is recommended to adhere to the default settings.
Setting Up TELUS eClaims
Canadian clinics can integrate with TELUS eClaims by setting up appropriate connections. Organizations should add an organizational connection, and independent clinics should add an independent one. Multiple connections can be added to associate all pertinent practitioners with these connections, facilitating streamlined processing.
Configuring the Clearinghouse for American Clinics
For American clinics, connecting with clearinghouses such as Trizetto, Office Ally, Claim.MD, or Availity is supported. Availity users have the option to connect through an FTP site, provided they possess an Availity Pro account.
