Noterro Snippets let you store and instantly insert common phrases, terms, and other repetitive content into your clinical notes. Beyond text, snippets can include diagnostic codes, treatment plans, follow-up exercises, or any repeatedly used content.
Snippets are created and stored in each practitioner’s user account. In multi-practitioner clinics, snippets can be shared, allowing the entire team to contribute to and benefit from a collective library. This makes it easy to build a rich, clinic-wide resource quickly.
Adding Snippets
- Log in as a Practitioner.
- Click on your Initials or Image in the top right header.
- Select Charting.
- Click on Snippets.
- Click on Add Snippet.
- Add a Shortcut.
- Add Content.
- Click Save or Save & Add More.

Deleting Snippets
If you want to remove a snippet from your charting library, follow these steps:
- Log in as a Practitioner.
- Click on your Initials or Image in the top right corner of the header.
- Select Charting.
- Click on Snippets to view your saved entries.
- Find the snippet you want to delete and click the three dots next to it.
- Select Delete.
- Confirm by clicking "Yes, Delete."
Your snippet will then be permanently removed from your library.
Adding Other Practitioners' Snippets Associated with Your Clinic
- Log in as a Practitioner.
- Click on your Initials or Image in the top right header.
- Select Charting.
- Click on Snippets.
- Click Add Snippet.
- Click Browse Snippet Library.
- Choose either Noterro Snippets or a Practitioner's snippets.
- Click on the "+" to add one at a time or Add All.
How to use Snippets
Next time you want to include that phrase in your notes, you can use your Snippet by using a forward slash and your shortcut.
Important Note: Your shortcuts will automatically be added to the Snippets Library. Snippets can only be shared within the clinic. Co-workers can access this list and add Snippets to their lists.
