Enhance your communication strategy with the SMS Notifications feature, enabling notifications to be forwarded directly to Practitioners via SMS. This enhancement allows for more efficient contact with both practitioners and clients.
Allowing Practitioners to Update Their SMS Notifications
Admins have the flexibility to permit or prevent practitioners from managing their SMS notification settings. Here’s how to configure SMS notifications for each practitioner:
- Log in as Admin.
- Click on the Gear Icon (Settings) in the top right corner.
- Select Base Setup from the dropdown menu.
- Go to Practitioners.
- Click on the Three Dots next to the practitioner's name, then click Edit.
- Scroll to the SMS Notifications section.
- Check the box next to "Allow Practitioner to change these SMS settings" to enable practitioners to manage their notifications.
- Uncheck the box if you prefer practitioners not to modify their SMS settings.
Note: If an admin or practitioner modifies this setting, the last saved configuration will determine the final setup.
Controlling SMS Consumption
Admins have full control over the quantity of SMS notifications dispatched. This can be managed at the practitioner level by selecting which notifications should be sent via SMS.
Adding or Updating a Practitioner's Phone Number
To receive SMS notifications, each practitioner must have a valid mobile phone number listed. SMS alerts will not be received if a mobile number is absent.
To add or update a phone number:
- Log in to your Noterro account.
- Click on your Photo or Initials in the top right corner.
- Select Profile from the dropdown menu.
- Scroll to the Notification Preferences section.
- Here, you can uncheck the SMS notifications you do not wish to receive. Make sure the phone number field is filled out to ensure SMS delivery.
Note: Settings set by the Admin, such as which notifications go out via SMS, are locked for practitioners and cannot be altered by them.
Important Notes: Enabling SMS notifications will increase the number of SMS messages sent, as notifications will now be distributed across multiple channels (email, in-app, and SMS). While admins can control whether practitioners can alter their SMS settings, each sends SMS notifications impacts the consumption of SMS credits. Practitioners must have a valid phone number in their Profile; otherwise, SMS notifications will not be sent.
