How to Integrate Noterro with Square

Connecting Your Square Account to Noterro

Seamlessly integrate Square with Noterro to process payments using various Square devices.

1. Log in as the Admin.
2. Click on the Gear icon (top right header).
3. Click on Billing.
4. Scroll to the Square section.
5. Click Connect Square.
6. Log in to your Square account when prompted.
7. Agree to Square permissions.
8. If you have multiple locations in Square, select the appropriate one in Noterro.
9. Android Only: Disable default taxes in your Square account to prevent double-charging on transactions initiated from Android devices.

Important Note: Once connected, you can use your Square Reader, Stand, or keyed-in credit card payments right away.

Disconnecting Your Square Account from Noterro

1. Log in as the Admin.
2. Click on the Gear icon (top right header).
3. Click on Billing.
4. Scroll to the Square section.
5. Scroll to Payment Processing.
6. Click Disconnect Square.

Setting Up the Square Terminal

Use the Square Terminal as a standalone unit or integrate it with Noterro through these steps.

Generating a Device Code within Noterro

1. Set up your Square Terminal if you haven't already.
2. Log in as the Admin.
3. Click on the Gear icon (top right header).
4. Click on Billing.
5. Scroll to the Square section.
6. In the Link Terminal section, click Add New.
7. Click Generate Device Code.
8. Note the Device Code.

Pairing Your Square Terminal

By linking Square Payment Processing with Noterro, you offer secure and easy payment options. To pair your terminal:

1. Log out of your Square Terminal.
2. Drag the slide-out menu on the left side of the terminal screen.
3. Click Settings.
4. Click Account.
5. Click Sign out.
6. Click Sign In.
7. Click Use Device Code (do not use your email/password).
8. Enter the Device Code from Noterro.

After successfully pairing, your terminal displays "Powered by Square" and is ready for payment processing via Noterro.

Important Note: Repeat these steps to pair additional Square Terminals from the same Square account to your Noterro account.

Disconnecting Your Square Terminal from Noterro

To deactivate your Square terminal:

1. Log into your Square account.
2. Click on Settings in the bottom left sidebar.
3. Click on Account Settings.
4. Click on Business Information.
5. Click on Devices.
6. Click the Three Dots next to the terminal to deactivate.
7. Click Deactivate.
