Patients cannot upload their own insurance information directly into the system. This task must be done by staff members.

Noterro does not automatically generate or send receipts for insurance after group appointments. You can create invoices and receipts manually for each patient as needed. If you're billing insurance, you can use the Insurance features to create and track insurance invoices, but they aren’t auto-issued upon booking or completion.

On the Plus plan, you are unable to submit insurance claims. You will need to upgrade your plan to the Max tier.

If the insurance company does not have an eTelus badge, you will need to create an account with that insurance company and submit claims through their portal.
Does the Max plan file insurance claims to Blue Cross?
All insurers with a Telus eclaims badge are eligible for direct billing. If a badge is not beside the insurer, you will need to submit the claim through that insurer's portal.

Rejected claims cannot be voided or resubmitted. Instead, request the patient to pay the full amount and submit the claim directly to their insurer. Edit the claim to make it payable to the patient, then update the Explanation of Benefits status to "paid" once the patient pays.
Can I send claims directly to a clearinghouse from Noterro?
You can submit claims electronically only if you use Availity Essentials Pro. Otherwise, you must download the EDI file from Noterro and manually upload it to your clearinghouse (Office Ally, Trizetto, or Availity Essential).
