What Does it Mean To Invite Patients

Inviting patients sends them an email invitation to create or connect a portal user account.

Benefits of a Portal Account

A portal account lets a patient:

• Book appointments online
• Log in to the Web Portal
• Manage their appointments

For an existing patient, creating a portal account may create a new portal account that needs to be merged with their existing patient profile to prevent duplicate profiles.

Invite a Patient to the Portal

An Admin or Practitioner can invite an individual patient from the patient’s profile:

1. Go to Patients.
2. Select the patient.
3. Open Portal Accounts.
4. Click Add User.
5. Enter their email address.

The recipient receives an email to set up or log in to their account and accept the invitation.
