Paying an Invoice from Account Credit

If a Patient has a credit on their account and wants to use it, there are three ways to pay an Invoice using their account credit.

Method One: Billing Activity

  1. Click on the Billing Icon in the left navigation.
  2. Click on the Pay Icon in the line where the Invoice (for example, INV-3) is located.
  3. Click on Select Add Payment Method.
  4. Select the Apply Credit.
  5. Click Pay.

Method Two: Patient Profile Page

  1. Click on the Patient's name.
  2. Click on the Billing tab.
  3. Click on the Pay Icon in the line where the Invoice (for example, INV-3) is located.
  4. Click on Select Payment Method.
  5. Select the Account Credit.
  6. Click Pay.

Method Three: Appointment

  1. Click on the Appointment.
  2. Click on the Invoice (example, INV-3).
  3. Click on Pay.
  4. Click on Select Payment Method.
  5. Select the Account Credit.
  6. Click Pay.

    I don't remember, but I believe we are currently not able to pay one client's bill with another client's credit. I have a few families that come in and they use their pre-paid appointments for each other so if one can't come in, the other takes the slot. Client A has the credits, but client B is coming in for the service that day. Will there be a point where I don't have to delete from client A and credit client B and simply transfer credits? With notification to the client, either automatically or on demand.

    Thanks, Nick. That’s what I did. I was looking for a more seamless transfer that would show the transfer between accounts.
