Patients who have a credit on their account can easily apply it to pay outstanding invoices. This guide will show you three different methods to use an account credit for invoice payments.
Pay an Invoice Using Account Credit
Method One: Billing Activity
- Click on the Billing (top left header).
- Click on the Pay icon in the line where the invoice (e.g., INV-3) is located.
- Click on Select Add Payment Method.
- Select the Apply Credit.
- Click Pay.
Method Two: Patient Profile Page
- Click on the Patient's name.
- Click on the Billing tab.
- Click on the Pay icon in the line where the invoice (e.g., INV-3) is located.
- Click on Select Payment Method.
- Select the Account Credit.
- Click Pay.
Method Three: Appointment
- Click on the Appointment.
- Click on the Invoice (e.g., INV-3).
- Click on Pay.
- Click on Select Payment Method.
- Select the Account Credit.
- Click Pay.

I don't remember, but I believe we are currently not able to pay one client's bill with another client's credit. I have a few families that come in and they use their pre-paid appointments for each other so if one can't come in, the other takes the slot. Client A has the credits, but client B is coming in for the service that day. Will there be a point where I don't have to delete from client A and credit client B and simply transfer credits? With notification to the client, either automatically or on demand.

Thanks, Nick. That’s what I did. I was looking for a more seamless transfer that would show the transfer between accounts.
