A request to have Patients confirm their appointment can be sent to reduce missed appointments and time spent following up to confirm if they plan to make it. If you've selected the option to "Remind Patient 1 day before their appointment," they will receive an email with a button to confirm their appointment in addition to their reminder. If the Patient confirms their appointment, this will appear on the Calendar and the Dashboard under 'Today's Appointments.' Here are the steps to set this up in Noterro:
Steps for Appointment Confirmation Set up
- Click on the Gear Icon.
- Click On Template.
- Click on Patient notification.
- Scroll down to Reminders and Click on Email.
- Click on Ask Patients to Confirm their Appointments.

Patients have been saying that the confirm appointment on the email is not working. Just thought I would mention this is case there is a glitch in the system.
p.s we do love that patients can do this now :). But again just letting you know in case it is a glitch preventing it from working.
Thanks
Thanks DanIng, we'll open a ticket with you to try to resolve the issue.
Hello,
Sorry it took me a while to collect some photos of clients emails that were unable to confirm their appointment. With doing this I discovered that it is people who have apple products. Trying to confirm with iphones or ipads etc. Stating that the Safari can not find server or page, If you do need photos still I can send them(I do have a bunch), is there an email address I can send them too? I tried to save and attach to this, but it wasn't working.
Again, sorry for the delay, but I appreciate the help.
Hello,
I have recently just started using SoapVault and I have most of my stuff set up for my clients to use Facebook with booking, my calendar, email etc. Well I had a client scheduled for today July 22, she was sent an email from the Vault and confirmed it, but I was not notified. Once a client confirms how am I notified and where does it go? I've checked my emails but there is nothing there.
Thank You for your help,
Denise
Hi Denise,
Confirmed appointments appear on the calendar with a checkmark. Also an on-page notification will appear (the bell on the top of the page).
Happy charting,
Ryan
Hello
I am wondering if there is any way to turn off the 'confirm appointment' button? Most of my clients don't even notice or bother with the confirmation button however, others have misconstrued that by not confirming they were cancelling their appointment. Obviously this was not the intent of the button however I would like to avoid this in the future. It would be great if you could give individual clinics and therapists a choice as to the use of this option. Thank you.
Joanne,
You cannot turn off the confirm button. I will take your suggestion to out development team.
Thanks
Nick
I'm getting responses from clients saying that the appointment time they booked is incorrect. Ex: they book for 9:30 and the email notification they receive states 10:30. Is there a time zone setting for the calendar?
Make sure your time zone is set properly. Click on the link for instructions.

Hello Support! I appreciate, and so do my clients, the 24hr email and text reminders. Unfortunately, I have clients that have responded back to the email. Their response being, for example, they are sick and can't make their appointment. Of course, I don't receive that info, and my client is surprised when I'm texting them about not showing up for their appointment. Can you PLEASE put in bold that the confirmation email they are receiving CANNOT BE RESPONDED TO? Or, link our emails to your confirmation emails to where they can respond back to it, and we receive the information? Thank you kindly!
Colleen
Is it possible now to turn off the confirmation reply notice in the email reminder? I noticed this was an inquiry made in 2016 but have not seen a reply. I just want to be able to send them the reminder. I would rather them not have to take extra steps to confirm. Thank you.
Hi! I have clients that have been trying to respond to the text reminders. Is there a way at all that I can attach my phone number so that I would receive those replies back from them? I know that I do receive an email if a client replies to the email reminder. Just wondering if it is possible and how I would do it if so. Thanks so much!
Hi. I'm in a free trial and really like a lot of what seems to be offered! However, there are some small things that would lead me completely away from soapvault. I saw the topic of reminders brought up almost 4 years ago. Has that changed yet? Can I set reminder times for any option other than 24 hours in advance? I don't understand how that can be the only option.
I also would like to turn off confirmation reply which goes through reminders and allow it to just be a reminder. Is there a way to do that?
Along the same line, is there an option to add a calendar link through appointment reminders which would allow clients/patients to automatically add their time to their own calendars?
