Can the Admin be given removal access? I'm picturing if a practitioner leaves the clinic they would still need access to the files of patients they saw personally (for health bylaw reasons) but the clinic owner should be able to exclude them from the wider database and stop paying for their licence.
Is the practitioner tied to a given note? If so the data base could be collated to allow them access to these notes.
Is the above reply to Cicely apply f the clinic is paying for the practitioners access/account?
Would make life a lot easier during the setup and testing phase. Maybe allow it initially and have an irrevocable switch to turn it off, if there are legal requirements.
Like Sally, I would like to know if I need to add myself as a practioner-I just signed up and it appears the clinic can add new patients but the practioner doesn't have the ability to add. Its' one and the same and I don't want to duplicate work or pay extra fees if I can do all as ADMIN. :) Thanks
Does the above reply to Cicely apply if the clinic is paying for the practitioners access/account?
By removing a practitioner from your clinic, they will not have access to any of that clinic's SOAP notes, even if they had created them. If there needs to be additional records kept, then the practitioner could download the note to PDF prior to their account removal.
You are exactly correct Kerry. The notes are owend by the clinic, even after a practitioner who created them leaves.
Cicely, the practitioner would need to login and update their name since they would be the owner of their user account.
I just need to fix their name
Dermod, the practitioner administer's their own user account and are responsible for populating their user account's details. The clinic admin simply grants or revokes clinic access to another practitioner.
I am a sole trader and don't employ any practitioners. Do I still have to add myself as a practitioner to use SOAP Vault?
Once practitioner is removed however, their SOAP notes can still be viewed by other practitioners in the same clinic correct? For example, RMT leaves clinic but patient continues to see another RMT located at clinic, all notes will still be accessible to the newly treating RMT?
HI Sally and Carey, yes you would have both Admin and Practitioner access as a sole practitioner. This is because Admins cannot be listed as the practitioner on a SOAP Note.
Once you have both an Admin and Practitioner association to the clinic, you could always use the "Admin" role, and perform all the same functions as a Practitioner, just with a few more options like managing the Clinic.
Your fees are not affected because a SOAP Vault clinic account includes 1 practitioner, it's only if you have 2+ practitioners where the price increases.
Happy charting! :)

Why can't the admin be given permission to edit practitioner details including password. Most packages allow this - that's why there is an admin role. Why the 'big brother' approach?
Jamal, she can just reset her password here: https://www.soapvault.com/users/forgotPassword
I added another practitioner to the clinic but she is unable to access clinics system as her invite to join clinic expired. How does she access the soap vault dashboard etc?
