Connecting the Square Terminal for Payment Processing

Square provides sellers with hardware and software solutions, including their most popular payment tools – the Square Reader and Point of Sale application. The Square Reader for contactless and chip connects wirelessly with your smartphone or tablet, transforming it into a powerful mobile device that takes card and mobile payments anytime.

The Square Terminal can be used a standalone unit or it can be integrated with Noterro.  To integrate the Square Terminal with your Noterro Account, follow the instructions below.

Connect Square Account

1. Log in to your Square account
2. Disable Taxes [for Android users only] in your Square account (settings menu in Square). Why?
3. Log in to your Noterro account as an admin
4. Click on the Gear icon (top right header)
5. Click on Billing
6. Scroll to the Square section
7. Click Connect Square
8. You will be prompted to log in to your Square account
9. Agree to Square permissions and you will now be connected

Setting Up the Square Terminal

You will need to set up your Square Terminal first by clicking here for instructions.

Pair Square Terminal to Your Noterro Account

1. Click on the Gear icon (top right header)
2. Click on Billing
3. Scroll to the Square section
4. In the Link Terminal section click Add New
5. Click Generate Device Code
6. Enter the *Device Code in the Square Terminal to pair it to your Noterro Account

*Where Do I Enter my Device Code (all I see is the Square logo)

1. 1. Log out of your Square Terminal
   2. Drag the slide-out menu on the left side of the screen terminal
   3. Click Settings
   4. Click Account
   5. Click Sign out
   6. Click Sign In
   7. Click Use Device Code (do not use your email/password)
   8. Enter the Device Code from Noterro
   9. After you have successfully paired your terminal to your Noterro account the terminal will display "Powered by Square".  You are now ready to process payments.
